There are many befits of using a clear plastic packaging. Such a packaging is often used to pack and store food. An example of clear plastic packaging boxes is a Saran wrap. Saran wraps can be used with multiple foods. They can cover salads, fried items and liquids alike. They are also inexpensive and can be purchased from most local stores. They are sold by the weight and a kilogram of Saran wrap costs about three to four dollars. Their use has recently extended to the restaurant industry that has become aware of the pkte total of good clear plastic packing. The clarity of the plastic is imperative as it reflects the removal of impurities from the material. The more transparent and clear the package is, the more free it is of impurities. The less transparent a package is, the more it is contaminated with impurities that affect the quality of the stored items.
A clear drawback of clear plastic packaging is the environmental impact it causes. Like every other plastic, it is not biodegradable. This means that it does not break down naturally when it is finally disposed. Disposed plastic has a life of five to six hundred years before it breaks down into its tiny constituents.
This is in contrast with other packing materials such as wood, glass and cardboard. Glass disintegrates in five to ten years. Wood decomposes fully in five to ten years, as well. Wood often becomes a part of the soil it is disposed in. Cardboard is a derivative product of wood and can be used as an alternative. A cardboard takes about ten days to decompose. The quickest substance to decompose is glass. It breaks into tiny shards that, in turn, break into even smaller particles that can be safely absorbed into the soil.
Research suggests that the total plastic waste of the planet can be cut back if each individual user stars questioning their need for plastic. Once people make a conscious effort to not use plastic, they will start finding ways of not doing it. They will find alternatives and start using them. Countries where plastics are banned, cloth bags have become the staple and people have been quick to adapt to them. This is in stark contrast to some of the more polluted countries where people use plastic bags for every purpose from grocery to packing. The harm caused by discarding plastic casually is effectively irreversible and can not be reversed. Discarding plastic into the environment affects the world we are leaving behind and worsens the quality of life for the next generations. A common way to deal with discarding clear plastic packaging is to recycle all plastic products. Recycling reduces the total number of products produced. In turn, this reduced the total waste produced by plastic products.
